B.R.A.V.E. empowers Hawaiian youth and young adults on Oʻahu and Molokaʻi with culturally grounded, skills‑based training that leads to industry credentials and living‑wage jobs.
We center Native Hawaiian values and practices while serving people of all ethnicities and abilities through hands‑on instruction, wrap‑around supports, and employer partnerships.

Who We Serve

Primary ages: Youth and young adults (Ages 16–24)
B.R.A.V.E. intentionally centers Native Hawaiian culture and outreach while welcoming participants of all backgrounds who need workforce training to secure jobs.
Program Timing and Cycle

Recruitment and outreach: January–March with school, community, and cultural partner engagement.

Cohort starts: April, July, October; additional summer intensives June–August for youth.

Training length: 6–8 weeks per cohort; evening and weekend options available.

Post‑training support: Certification exams, 90 days of job placement assistance, employer follow‑up.

Evaluation and reporting: Annual review and reporting in December.
Core Supports

Wrap‑around services: Childcare assistance, transportation support, exam fee assistance, case management, and emergency aid.

Career services: Resume and interview coaching, employer matchmaking, paid work placements, job fairs, and apprenticeship referrals.

Cultural supports: Curriculum and mentorship that incorporate aloha, mālama ʻāina, and Native Hawaiian practices.
Training Tracks and Credentials
Trades & Construction:
NCCER‑aligned training with paid placements and apprenticeship pathways.
Allied Health:
CNA and phlebotomy certification with clinical placements and employer referrals.
IT:
CompTIA A+ and AI foundations for entry‑level tech roles.
Agriculture:
ʻĀina‑centered farming and food‑safety credentials for island food systems.
How Credentials Translate to Jobs
All credentialing pathways are aligned with local employer needs on Oʻahu and Molokaʻi. BRAVE partners with contractors, healthcare providers, tech employers, farms, and apprenticeship sponsors to ensure credentials lead to interviews, placements, and career advancement.

Acknowledgement of Support
We gratefully acknowledge corporate and philanthropic partners and will recognize support across our communications while respecting trademark ownership and approval requirements. All uses of partner names or logos will be submitted for written approval. Planned acknowledgements include coordinated announcements, website recognition, social posts (with approval), event signage, participant materials (with consent), inclusion in reports, and invitations for site visits. The Program Director will submit materials for partner review and promptly comply with any usage restrictions.
